Supermodel Emily shared that her waistline has reduced by 8 cm since welcoming baby Luca two months ago, despite not following a strict diet or hitting the gym.

In a conversation with Sao, Emily revealed that her pre-pregnancy measurements were 84-62-97 cm. During her pregnancy, she gained 16 kg, resulting in postpartum measurements of 90-75-107 cm. Now, just two months after Luca’s birth, Emily’s waist has slimmed down from 75 to 67 cm.

“A woman’s body undergoes significant changes after childbirth, such as weight gain and stretched abdominal muscles from months of carrying a baby, so it’s challenging to accept these changes. Initially, the 42-year-old supermodel avoided looking in the mirror to prevent herself from becoming too preoccupied with her body.

Instead, she focused on maintaining her health and cherishing the moments with her newborn. She has come to accept that while her body will improve over time, it will never fully return to the way it was in her younger years.

Emily’s goal for the months following her baby’s arrival is to gradually reintroduce discipline into her nutrition, as she occasionally indulged in cravings during pregnancy.

Emily also shared her tip for selecting postpartum clothing: avoid clothes that are too loose. “After pregnancy, women may lose some sensation in their abdominal muscles, which can lead to a reduced sense of fullness when eating, causing them to eat more than necessary. It’s better to wear clothes that are moderately tight or lightweight to help you stay aware of your body, which in turn helps with mindful eating,” she advised.
